Rating: 5 [ Who would want this for it's educational value? ]
I bought this for my 25 year old roommate. I see more adults that like Sponge Bob than kids. Educational value? Unless you're trying to teach people not to trust others who are running around with a wicked smile on their face and a Sponge Bob full of water.

Rating: 4 [ Great Spongebob action figure,bad squirter ]
This is a SpongeBob that would make a cool action figure, but not a squirter. Because like all squirters, they get water stuck in them. That's bad because if you were going to use it as a figure, it would leak water out when you played with it. Overall, just use it as a figure.

Rating: 5 [ SpongeBob's Big Day at the Office ]
This toy is an absolute hoot, but, like SpongeBob himself, almost guaranteed to get you in trouble!!! I was given this fine toy by an officemate whom I am now certain has the hots for me as she winked and showed me SB's colorful underwear on this toy. She then squeezed him and, much to my surprise, squirted me in the eye with a stream of water from between his teeth! Dipper was suddenly full of mischief!

I filled this little rogue's back up at the watercooler and then had an absolute blast running around the office squirting co-workers with a "sponge squeeze" launching a stream of very aimable water quite a distance. This went on for quite a while as our manikin boss was out "consulting" that day, but SquarePants proved himself quite durable through the mayhem. I bumped up the educational stars on this because I think I learned a little practical physics that day aiming squirts from odd angles. The fun came to a sparking end that day when I made the mistake of trying to take a picture of SpongeBob on top of the boss' computer monitor. I was poised to snap the shot when the still-full-of-water scamp tipped over backwards emptying his remaining water through the not-on-tight-enough filling cap into the still-on monitor. With a crack and a smoke plume, the master circuit breaker tripped off power for the whole office! SpongeBob was then flung off the monitor into the wall in terror by yours truly and trampled a few times as we tried to figure out what to do, but he once again came through this calamity undamaged. When it was all over (we carefully replaced the rake's monitor and he never even noticed), a few of my officemates with young kids commented that this incident was actually quite like a typical SpongeBob episode. And just like on TV, everything turned out fine. I highly recommend this first-rate Mattel product for "kids" of all ages!!! Just make sure you tighten the filling cap real well if you get any "bright ideas"! This is a fun, durable product!
